Toy and Equipment Lending Library

Our library consists of toys, equipment, theme boxes, videos, and books which can be borrowed by any child care facility that is currently registered with our program. Theme boxes have a lending limit of one month at a time, toys and equipment can be borrowed for three months. Community Agencies or Parents may borrow from our library on a day to day basis. All the areas we serve have library resources.

There is a variety of toys in our library such as baby start-up kits, BrioŽ train sets, ride-on toys to large wooden blocks - something for all ages and abilities. The equipment in our library ranges from play pens, high chairs, double strollers, easels, tunnels, to a variety of large outdoor equipment.

Our video library consists of a wide variety of videos, animated stories for children and resource information videos for caregivers and parents. The books in our library are caregiver program based. We have various books with information on how to start a child care facility, program planning, health safety and nutrition in child care settings.

The procedure for lending is for you to view our catalogue which displays the items in our library, then contact our child care consultant for your area, who will check availability, and add your name to our lending register. Because of the high demand for toys and equipment, your name may be need to be added to a waitlist.
