Mission Statement
The 0-6 Network provides a forum for families, childcare providers and service providers to share information, raise awareness of issues and promote a healthy community for families and children 0-6 in Nanaimo and area .
Purpose
The purpose of the 0-6 Network is to:

Share information
-
Promote and support efficient use of resources by working collaboratively with and referring to existing agencies.

Refer identified issues that require community action to the Greater Nanaimo Early Years Partnership.
Terms of Reference

Membership is open
-
Meetings hosted four times a year
-
Meetings rotated at various member locations
-
PacificCARE will maintain and update the Network contact list and the 0-6 Website
-
Chair and recorder may rotate and will be determined at the previous meeting
-
Recorder to send minutes to the contact personfor distribution to all members within 2 weeks of the meeting being held.

Chair to call for agenda items 2 weeks prior to meeting date and send out agenda one week prior to the meeting.

Working committees will be formed as necessary by the Network and will report back to the Network
-
A representative from the Greater Nanaimo Early Years Partnership will be invited to attend the 0-6 Network meetings for communication purposes

Decisions will be made by consensus
-
A ½ hour will be scheduled for networking at the meetings
-
The Terms of Reference will be reviewed and adopted annually.
